1988 Epic Comics Akira #1 Katsuhiro Otomo First Printing

This is the highly sought-after first issue of Akira published by Epic Comics, a subdivision of Marvel, in 1988. It represents the first time Katsuhiro Otomo's groundbreaking cyberpunk masterpiece was translated into English and colored for the Western market. The cover features the iconic neon-pink title logo against a stark black background. Visible condition shows some light shelf wear and edge blunting, particularly on the spine and corners, but it remains a sharp display piece from the era.
